Objectives of this course are:
1. Strategies to protect the patients from Coronavirus transmission
2. Strategies to protect frontline Dental Assistants & other staff from Coronavirus transmission
3. Provide a safe & sterile clinic environment in the dental surgery for patients
4. Lay down protocol for the day to day functioning
This course has the following modules:
1. Pre- work to be followed by Dental Assistant
2. Protocols to be followed while attending the patient
3. Fumigation and Closing protocols
4. Post COVID Maintenance Advisory
5. Dental Tray Set-up
6. Videos on how to use RAPI -G
Dental Assistant Training
Dental assistants are trained on the basis of assisting techniques and indirect patient care that practices to work in collaboration with the dentist. The duties of a dental assistant are among the most comprehensive and varied in the dental clinic. The dental assistant performs many tasks requiring both interpersonal and technical skills.
Salient Features:
On completion of the course students shall be able to:
1) Recognize that they are an essential component of the continuum of care and serve as linkages among health resources
2) Successfully understand the Dental Assistant roles and responsibilities
3) Perform the skills essential according to established standards.
